William Stanley Lisner, 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday August 3rd, 2024. William was born in Newark, NJ, spent 25 years in Lebanon Twp., NJ and 9 years in Newport, VT before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 5 years ago. William graduated from Monmouth University where he was a member of both Alpha Phi Omega and Alpha Psi Omega, and he worked as a Sales Instructor for NJ Bell. William was a Communicant of St. Luke’s in Long Valley and St. Joseph’s in High Bridge. William taught CCD classes, was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Lebanon, NJ. He was a youth group leader at St. Joseph’s in High Bridge, NJ and was the president of the acting club in South River, NJ. He was very active in the PTA and was Boy Scout/Cub Scout Master both in Lebanon Twp. William was an avid reader and he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
William is predeceased by his parents Adam and Anna Lisowski and sister Margaret Lisner.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann of 57 years, sons David W. Lisner and wife Meredith of Newport, VT and Steven Lisner of Raritan, NJ and grandchildren Jacob, Zachary, Melanie and Joshua.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 8th, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Cremation will be private.
