William Lopes Obituary
Jim was born in Florida to the late William Julius and Edna Spires Lopes. Jim worked as an auto body technician for over 35 years. He was also a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years.
Jim was very creative, fabricating many of his ideas into reality. He could fix anything and was always trying to think of ideas to solve problems for his family and friends. Jim loved the outdoors, loved to fish and enjoyed camping. Most of all Jim loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Williams Lopes; son, Preston Lopes; stepchildren, Stephanie Tice, Stephen Tice and Elizabeth (Brandon) Ewing; sisters, Deborah Jacobs, Glenda Kelly and Stephanie (Chris) Stiles; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers the family asks you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
