Honorable William Lucas

William Lucas was a trailblazer and well-respected in the Detroit community and around the globe for his innovative and professional standards that he implemented in the law enforcement profession. He was one of my motivations for choosing law enforcement as a career path. And I also entered politics looking at him as one of my distant mentors. I knew his son Richard who attended Catholic Central High School with my twin brother Garfield Hardeman. May he rest in heaven with all the worldly good that he did while on Earth.
