William Maleski Obituary
William Paul Maleski, 87, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at his home in Indian Land, South Carolina. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of Anthony and Helen Maleski, the younger brother of Anthony, and the older brother of Patricia, AnnMarie, and Robert.
William met the love of his life, Ruth Ann, at the "Chatterbox" on the Jersey Shore. The two were married on October 29, 1966, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Kearny, New Jersey. This marked the beginning of a loving marriage that lasted 57 years.
A devout Catholic, William attended St. Cecilia's High School before serving as a chaplain's assistant in the United States Army. He remained active in his faith throughout his life and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He lived in Kearny, New Jersey, for many years before retiring to Indian Land, South Carolina.
William was a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, and a kind soul whose happy-go-lucky spirit brightened every room. He delighted in 1950s music, singing, and especially dancing with his wife and granddaughters. He was never without a joke, and no meal was complete without a slice of cheesecake.
He is survived by his sister, AnnMarie, and brother, Robert; his sons, William (Sharon) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, and Thomas (Kerry) of North Arlington, New Jersey; and his cherished grandchildren, Sara (Max), Hanna, Ella, Thomas, and Aidan.
His warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
