Our beloved father William James (Jub) Martin, age 87 of Dema, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Hazard ARH, Hazard, Kentucky after a short illness, has passed away peacefully surrounded by his children.

He was born January 21, 1939 in Dema, Kentucky to the late Berlin Martin & Marie Slone Martin. He leaves behind Wife: Guenda S. Martin; Children: Carolyn Silence, Karen (Diane) Bolgrean, Carmen (Michael) Massicotte, Billy (Katie) Martin: Sister: Jewel (Kenny) Blair; Stepson: Jimmy ( Nancy) Slone; Grand Children Jennifer Scholting, Krissandra (Jamie)Severson, Lindsay (David)Kelly, Erik (Samantha) Monsebroten, Elizabeth Scholting, Rebecca Kure, MJ (Katie)Massicotte, Jena(Andrew)Cook, Frank Massicotte, Jacob(Aubrey) Silence, Liam Martin, Ava Martin, Joseph Massicotte ,Jack Martin, Paula(Darrell) Parker, Sheena Alcantar, Emmanuel (Rie) Alcanter, Kara (Justin) Bates, Tyler Slone, Page Slone, Sage Slone, and Timothy Slone 30 plus Great Grand Children and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Martha Feth Martin who passed away on February 10, 2009, Grandchildren: Brandon Slone, Brody and Tallin Bates. William (Jub) spent 25 years with the Army and Air Force serving our country with an honorable discharge. He continued his service with our government in many capacities for over 15 years as a contractor for Lockheed Martin. He received many awards and medals during his service. He not only gave unselfishly to the military, but he also gave unselfishly to his family and friends. Jub kept all of us laughing and was known for his funny stories, jokes, and magic tricks. His kind heart touched the lives of all that knew him.

We will love and honor William (Jub) Martin in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 11am-1pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1pm at the funeral home with Daryl Slone officiating

Burial will follow at Hicks Cemetery, Dema, Kentucky
