William Clyde Maynard

William Clyde Maynard, 57, of Ashland, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 5, 2025, at his residence. William was born on Wednesday, November 27, 1968, in Ashland, to the late Charles Alfred Maynard and Kathy Irene Mullins Maynard Hill. He was a proud graduate of Ashland Paul Blazer High School, where he made many lifelong friends. William was a member of the Ashland Eagles and the Elks Lodge BPOE 350. He worked for 23 years as the manager of 1st Stop Liquor. Most importantly, William accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, Scott Maynard (Ashley) of South Point and Kyle Maynard of Huntington; his daughter, Arika Maynard of Huntington; two brothers, Mark Maynard and James Brandon Maynard, both of Ashland; and three sisters, Melissa Slone of Milton, Andrea Haskins of Pittsburgh, and Lisa Haygood Smith of Cincinnati. William also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren-Cadence Starr Adams, Colton Michael Adams, Marley Lynn Adams, Mason Gunnarr Adams, and Autumn Rainn Maynard-as well as a special nephew he loved like a son, Ian LeMaster, and his significant other, Crystal Thomason. A celebration of life in honor of William will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Ashland Heights Wesleyan Church in Ashland, KY.
