William “Bill” Dell McClure, 87 of Aledo, passed away peacefully with his Arcadia family at his side on Friday, March 27, 2026. Private family services will be held. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.
Bill was born in Paris, Tennessee on March 31, 1938, to William Garwin & Lottie Adell (Diukiue) McClure. He enjoyed being an over-the-road truck driver and was a train enthusiast. He was affectionately known as “Big Bill” at Arcadia and will be missed by his family there, especially his favorite nurse, Tina and “special granddaughter” Bridgette.
Bill is survived by his sister, Pam Silverthorn; nephew, Michael Arnett; special friend, Bob Koepp and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Lynn McClure and son, Billy McClure.
