Funeral services for William Dwayne "Bobo" McDowell, age 50, were held 2:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2006 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Interment followed in Kilbourne Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove. Bobo McDowell was born on June 7, 1956 in McCamey, TX and passed away at his home on December 28, 2006 surrounded by his family and close friends. He was preceded in death by a son, William Anthony McDowell; and his father, William Fletcher "Sonny" McDowell. Survivors include his wife, Sandy McDowell of Kilbourne, LA; son, Corey McDowell of Kilbourne, LA; mother, Lucille McDowell of Kilbourne, LA; 4 grandchildren, Summer and Alexis McDowell both of Kilbourne, LA; McKenzie and Anthony McDowell both of Lake Providence, LA; 3 sisters, Sandra Green & husband, Richard of Fayetteville, AR, Rachel Tate of Little Rock, Ark., and Sharon Brown of West Monroe, La.; Mother & Father-in-law, Mary Rose and Bobby Capers of Kilbourne, LA; a brother-in-law, Dwayne Capers & wife, Freida of Kilbourne, LA; 2 sister-in-laws, Diane Osborne & Julie Moon both of W. Monroe; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, & Friends. Pallbearers were Bruce "Bigun" McGaha, Kerry McGaha, Charlie Sanders, Glen Moon, Willie Capers, Brian "Woe" McGaha, Richard Green, and Paul Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Hollis Hill, Mike Stephens, Randall Russell, Dennis Townsend, Mickey Osborne, Dennis Ray Sanders, Donald Poole, and Ed Stephens.
