William McGaha Obituary

FRANKLIN - Mr. William Harold McGaha, 78, born Nov. 26, 1947, passed away Thursday Jan. 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Harold was the son of the late Felton and Ruth McGaha. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Posey; and nephew, Tony Posey.
Harold is survived by his son, William Todd (Pamela O.) McGaha; daughter, Jennifer McGaha Peele and fiancé Matthew Cooke; granddaughters, Carissa McGaha and fiancé Jacob Young, Elizabeth (John "Ian") Crowe, Sailor Peele, Jenna Peele and Laurel Peele; grandson, Kolton Cooke; great-grandsons, Silas Young and Callan Young; sister, Bettey Breedlove; niece, Sheila Posey; nephew, Danny Breedlove; and longtime companion, Marcia Smothers.
Harold was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who loved his country and the time he served as a combat engineer (1966-1969). Harold worked as an electrician by trade and enjoyed his time with his family. Harold will be missed by many and loved by all.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Gary McCoy and Morris Tippett will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers are Ian Crowe, Jacob Young, John McDowell, James Waldroup, Kolton Cooke and Sailor Peele. Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Ramsey and Matt Cooke.

Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
