Uncle Bill is my Godfather and that holds a special meaning for me. Uncle Bill was always so happy to see you, whether when he was a guard at SmithKline and you'd walk into the lobby or attending the family joint birthday celebrations for him and my dad or attending the family holiday dinners for Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter at Sharon and Kenny's. Along with these fond memories is the once in a lifetime opportunity when all we McIlmails and extended families flew to Rome in late December of 2000 to attend Fr. Ed's ordination in early January, 2001. Will never ever forget this wonderful experience. I know you are in a better place, Uncle Bill, and not suffering. Love, Maun

I will miss the Philadelphia Eagles' stories I had with Bill, who always made it known to me that he was a NY Giants' fan. When I asked him about being a Giants' fan, he told me about the day the Philadelphia Eagles' front office refused to give Chuck Bednarik, a 1960's standout and Hall-of-Famer, two gratis season tickets. Bill would reiterate to me after all those "stinking" years Chuck Bednarik playes his guts out for the "green and silver" and management was too cheap to give probably their best football player ever, a simple free seasons' pass for two. I always enjoyed Bill talking to me, usually on Thanksgiving or Christmas at the Sharon/Kenny Biermann's home when he would walk in on me watching some NFL game and we would always re-hash the Chuck Bednarik story. I'll miss that, Bill, but now you and Chuck Bednarik came talk-it-up "upstairs". The Good Lord rest with you! STAN KOCHANEK
