William Leroy Messick

Chesapeake - William Leroy Messick, Jr., aged 73, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. Born on March 26, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia, he lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.
A proud 1970 graduate of Norview High School, William furthered his education by earning an Associate's Degree in Business Management from Tidewater Community College. He began his career serving honorably in the United States Coast Guard, where his commitment and perseverance were evident to all who knew him. Following his service, he dedicated many years as a Maintenance Supervisor at General Dynamics (Shipyard), where he was respected for his leadership and work ethic.
William was a man of diverse interests, known for his fondness for Snoopy, the Peanuts, and historical documentaries. These passions reflected his vibrant personality and intellectual curiosity, which inspired those around him.
He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, William Messick Sr. and Kathleen (Sizemore).
William is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Daniels) Messick; his sons, John Messick (Stephanie) and Floyd Messick (Diana); and his treasured grandchildren, Victoria, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Carrah Messick, and Jose Rivera. His family will forever hold him in their hearts as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
No services are planned at this time. There was a small family viewing held on November 19, 2025 at 2pm with his immediate family and his pastor.
