William J. Miller

1937 - 2025

William J. Miller, 88, of Whitesboro, passed away December 18, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

He was born March 14, 1937, in Utica, the son of William F. and Blanche M. Millotte Miller. Bill was a graduate of Whitesboro Central High School, and was a veteran of the US Army. He married Donna M. Hamlin in 1962; a blessed union of 63 years. Mr. Miller worked for UPS for 35 years until his retirement. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends at camp, and was involved in several civil organizations throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Lauren and Steve Swierat, William M. Miller and Dave Wallace, and Deborah and Ben Murabito; Megan and DJ DeVries, Shannon and Brandon Gobbi, Catania Murabito and John Bellinger, Marius Murabito, Jake Murabito, and Isabella Murabito; his great-granddaughter, Lily Anne DeVries; sisters, Bonnie Gardiner and Dorothy and Tom Duflo; many nieces and nephews; and countless close friends especially Janice and Frank Marfone and their family, and hunting buddy Tim Evan's. Bill was predeceased by his mother, father, Donna's parents; Donald and Lillian Hamlin, and a sister, Jane Collis.

The family would like to thank Sitrin Healthcare Center for their care of Bill, and to Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and compassion these last few weeks. Special thanks to angels Fredricka Anderson and Eleanor Stevens.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service, Monday, 3:30 p.m., at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
