William Moak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St. on Oct. 20, 2025.
William A. Moak, 73, of Columbus, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
William was born April 8, 1952, in Elizabethtown, Ohio, the son of Frank and Gertrude Harris Moak. On November 20, 1981, he married Lori Beth England.
Mr. Moak worked several years at Arvin Industries before his retirement. He was a kind and gentle man that loved his children unconditionally. William was also an avid church goer who looked forward to learning more about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as he attended church a few times a week. Even though he could be stubborn at times, William always had a kind word or smile for other people, strangers or not. He loved riding his gas powered bicycle around Columbus. He loved to fish, camp and watch professional wrestling. Keeping his yard beautiful was something that he was very proud of. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Alisha Moak, Justin Moak, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Belicia Garcia, Damienn Martin, Wesley Martin; sisters, Linda Moak of Ohio, Sherry (Verdell) Meade of Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lori and brother, Charles Moak.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Burial will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery next to his wife, Lori.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
