William Fisher Mobley

MOBLEY – William Fisher Mobley, age 83 of Dacula, GA passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held at Tim Stewart Funeral Home Lawrenceville Chapel on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM with Reverenced Timothy Beahan and Pastor David Ogden officiating. Interment to follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula, GA. Bill Mobley was a man of God who had two great loves. He loved Jesus and his family. His life was based on this verse from Praise For The Fountain, Redeeming love shall be my theme, and shall be till I die." Bill believed in the redeeming love of Christ. Bill was an Atlanta native. He grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and spent much of his childhood at his father's service station, Mobley's Auto Service, on Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta's Sweet Auburn District. Some of his fondest memories were also made working alongside his father and brother on the family farm in Dacula, Georgia. As a young man, he was a dedicated Boy Scout and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Avondale High School, where he took great pride in playing football. He later earned his bachelor's degree from Georgia State University. He married his wife Cheryl and they raised their family together in Dacula. He worked with his father and brother building houses and later enjoyed a rewarding career traveling across the United States with his wife as a catastrophe insurance adjuster. He and his wife, Cheryl, built their forever home on the family land in Dacula, where they spent their lives together making memories with one another, their daughters, and grandchildren. Bill was known as Daddy to his girls and Grandaddy to his grandchildren. He was full of wisdom, admired by men, and greatly blessed by God. Bill leaves behind a legacy of radical faith. Bill worked with the needy in Cabbage Town. He served the homeless in Atlanta. He helped the Hurricane Andrew victims in Miami, Florida and started a church in Southwest Miami. He went on multiple mission trips to Honduras, West Virginia, and Alabama. He brought the love of Jesus to everyone he came in contact with. Bill stated that he would love to bow at the feet of Jesus for the first 10,000 years in heaven so he could look up and see the face of Jesus. He is now enjoying fellowship with Jesus in heaven. While we will deeply miss him here on earth, we rejoice in knowing he is now in the presence of God. We take comfort in the promise that he is experiencing the fullness of God's joy, peace, and love for eternity. William was preceded in death by his parents, Letitia (Fisher) and William Henry Mobley. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Lunsford) Mobley of Dacula, GA; and his three daughters, Lori (David) Ogden of Armuchee, Angela (Tim) Beahan of Bethlehem, and Julie (Lynn) Christopher of Buford. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren: Andrew Mobley, Emily Justice, Ashley Pazo, Kaitlyn Royal, Timothy Beahan, Jr., Taylor Benjamin, Caleb Benjamin, and Jasmine Christopher; as well as his great-grandchild, Matthew Justice. He is also survived by his brother, John Mobley of Blairsville, and his sister, Brenda East of Dacula. Visitation will be held at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
