While looking through a box of very vintage Corvette t-shirts I came across the shirt Bill gave me..."1967 Corvette (photo) - The LAST Corvette built. Sure they made a Corvette after '67, but who the heck cares!" Seeing the shirt led me to Google his name and find this obituary. Bill was a really great guy! He always had at least one - if not more - of the very best cars for sale, and usually a 1967 or other special year and model. His pricing was very unique. Bill was one of the "Original Seven" who, in 1978, along with the leadership of David Burroughs, put together the Certification Guidelines for Bloomington Gold's National Corvette Certification Board. This criteria was the highest standard of Corvette certification / judging and is still the Benchmark today. Bill was a friend, and will be missed by many. I'm sure he's at "redline" right now as I type these memories. Rest in Peace! Bill Locke

Carolyn, so sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. The picture in his obituary reflects the ornery twinkle in his eyes.

Sorry to hear about Bill passing. I think we met in 1964 at Phillips. Had lots of conversations at work. He worked in computing and I was in R & D. Not quite sure how we met. In the early 70`s I quit Phillips and a neighbor and I started an exhibit business. Carolyn actually worked with us on designs for a while. She was driving a 67 Vette as her everyday car hauling all her painting equipment in the back. Seems strange now. Anyway, glad I knew Bill and Carolyn .
