William Moe Obituary

William C. Moe

On October 1, 1934, Bill Moe was welcomed by his parents, Bernice and Ferdie, and brothers, Robert "Bob" and Richard "Dick". On October 1, 2023, he was reunited with them to begin his heavenly journey.

He passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was a man of faith and his actions showed it.

Bill was an avid athlete, outdoorsman, and enjoyed many trips out west with his pals, Gene and Terry. He was known for his humor, antics, and shenanigans. He was also known for his famous hook-shot at the McDonell Alumni basketball tournaments.

He chose to serve his country by joining the U.S. Army and spending 18 months in Germany.

He met his wife of 62 years at Glen Loch Tavern. They were married on February 11, 1961.

He and Karen raised four children and enjoyed the lives of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There was always a sparkle in his eye when he spent time with the grandkids.

Bill served his community for 27 years as a Patrolman for the Chippewa Falls Police Department. Bill's brother, Dick was also a Patrolman; Bill had many great stories to tell of their time working together.

Bill was truly the life of the party – everyone loved to party with Bill. He was quick to smile and ready with a laugh. He was fond of telling each and every person how special they are. He was a great man and will be missed by us all.

He never liked to say goodbye. Instead, he would say, "We'll see ya when we see ya". So, dad "We'l see ya when we see ya".

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Moe; children: Pamela, Patricia, Peggy, and Billy (Becky); grandchildren: Mitchell (Toni) Moe, Alex (Jenna) Moe, Raeleigh Moe, Simon (Rachel) Moe, Connor Williams, and Frances Moe; great-grandsons: Mason and Frankie Moe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Bernice Moe; brothers: Robert "Bob" and Bev Moe and Richard "Dick" and Joyce Moe; and great-aunt, Frances Connell.

The Moe family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Bill and our family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember all of the Moe brothers, especially Bob, who was a good friend of my Mom and Dad's, Harry and Nilah Eystad. I remember that all of them were funny and had good stories to tell. There certainly was a big party when Bill arrived.

Keep the good memories alive and remember only those.
