William Moler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Graniteville on Jan. 8, 2026.
Mr. William "Willie" Edward Moler, 62, of Belvedere, SC, entered into rest on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Willie was born in Richland County, SC, on Fort Jackson, SC, to Staff Sargent Henry Grant and Luz M Pretel Moler. He had been a resident of Aiken County, SC most of his life.
Willie was the shy, quiet type and enjoyed the simple things in life. He chose to stay mostly to himself. He faced hardships in life but overcame many challenges. At times, he was misunderstood due to his inability to communicate his thoughts and feelings the way others did. Children loved "Uncle Willie" and he loved them. His nieces and nephews thought he was the absolute greatest when he played with them. At times they would fear him because he was such a giant with a scruffy beard, but he was a gentle person who enjoyed laughter and playfulness. He loved dogs and would smile when they played with him. Willie loved old westerns, The Three Stooges and Wrestling. Oh, and let's not forget the "Friday Night Horror" shows we used to watch.
After the death of both parents, Willie resided with his sister who cared for him with exceptional devotion. He had his family and that was enough.
Willie is loved, missed and his memory will remain eternal in the hearts of his siblings, Miriam Rhoades, Debbie E. Marsh, Rosemary (Joe) DeMott, Robert E. Moler, Richard A. Moler and Daniel A. (Angela) Moler, 6 nieces and 7 nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family members.
The family will greet friends on Monday, January 12th, 2026, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. His nephew, Jared Marsh will be officiating.
Memorials in memory of Willie, because of his love of children and animals, may be given to The Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries, 810 Maxwell Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 (www.conniemaxwell.com) or the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
