William Russell Morrow, Jr.

Most recently, my sister who lives in Selma learned of Mr. Morrow's transition and called me immediately. My sincere condolences for the loss of your dad. I have memorable remembrances of Mr. Morrow for the contributions he lent during the early inception of Christian Services for Children in Alabama. He was eager to know how he could best support the population of children we were called to serve. As the chairperson of the nonprofit board, he and I collaborated on so many levels. Meetings after meetings, strategic planning, travels
to our national office were just part of the journey. He always seemed willing to listen. It would be remiss to not mention your mother, Mrs. Morrow, She too was such a beautiful person.

I just learned of Russell´s death on this site. Russell was one of the most loving and accepting people I have ever known. His life embodied Jesus´ edict to love each other deeply without judgement. I am truly a better person for having known him and having been in a Sunday School class of his. What a fine example of a Christian.
