William "Bill" Mortimer Jr.

So deeply sad to hear about Bill's passing. My sincere and deep sympathies to Bill's Family. I was a collegue
of Bill's in GORE Germany for many years and considered him a friend. I will remember him fondly and often
recall the hime I had in Munich and Cherry Hill. I am sorry to receive the sad message so late.

I was a service contractor to WL Gore & Associates since back in the 90s and had the opportunity of meeting & working with a lot of really fantastic people there. One of the shining lights I worked with the most (longest), off & on, over those almost three decades was Bill Mortimer. Energy, insight, creativity, tolerance uncertainty and ambiguity, enterprising. He was a gem to work with/for. I for one really miss him. Jack Dyer, Synergics Corporation

Bill was a long time friend and mentor who kept us all laughing! His kind heart, keen observations, and gift of story telling painted a vivid and humorous backdrop for our lives at work and beyond. His spark is too vibrant to have left the world, and so I look forward to seeing it show up in the little things. Miss you, Bill. Sending heartfelt wishes for comfort to Bill's family at this time.

Hurricane Bill is a nickname we lovingly called you in Japan. Your passion for R&D inspired us and motivated many to keep on working while believing in what they can develop. I really enjoyed all our chats on the way to and back from Yoshinaga station. I can still remember your laughter and smiles. Rest In Peace, Bill. You are no longer causing any turbulence or hurricanes.

Bill was a great man in growing people from different backgrounds and regions. So sad to hear him passing. It is a big loss. My sincere condolences to the family.

A truly unique individual. I will always remember his laugh and his ability to influence others. I enjoyed working with him. My condolences to his parents and children. Rest in peace "Partner"!

Bill was a force of nature, always full of energy and ideas, believing in others and helping them to succeed. He was a great friend and mentor and I will miss the chats we had. The world is a little less bright without Bill in it. Sending thoughts and prayers to the family.

Sad to hear of Bill's passing. My condolences to his family. I started with Bill's team at W.L. Gore & Associates back in 1987. He was definitely one of a kind, always had something to say. I just saw Bill last Christmas and we sat for a bit to chat. Rest in peace.!

Bill was a bright source of inspiration and energy, of great humor and a caring individual. He influenced me as a person and my career quite a bit. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Mortimer family for the loss of Bill. Prior to my retirement from Gore, I had the pleasure to occasionally work with Bill. He was a great person and a torchbearer for the Gore culture. He will be missed by all that knew him.

So very sorry for your loss. Bill was a great co-worker and friend. Always one to provide encouragement and support of others. He could always liven up the room! He will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace.

I am sorry for your loss, Bill and I went to school together at St. Joes and a period of time at Sun Valley High School. We also spent many a summer together at Sun Oil Day Camp.

So saddened to hear the news of my old business partner. Truly a unique and talented individual. Gone way too early from us.
