William "Bill" Morton, 74, of Owensboro, passed away on September 21, 2014 at the Heartford House. He was born on January 8, 1940 to the late Thomas C. and Mabel Hall Morton. Bill was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and helping others. Bill was also a member of St. Vincent De Paul.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, William ''Billy'' Hall Morton Jr. and sister, Becky Riney.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Janice Morton; son, James "Cary" Morton (Debbie); daughters, Kim Myers (Barry) and Dayna Cox (Shane); brothers, Tom Morton (Renona), Mike Morton (Carrie), David Morton (Jean), and Phillip Morton (Sylvia); sisters, Pat O'Byran and Nancy Logsdon (Tony); and 8 grandchildren.
Service will be at 10AM Wednesday at Immaculate Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 Tuesday with prayers at 6pm and Wednesday from 8:00AM - 9:30AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Heartford House.
