William "Bill" Neumaier, age 76, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, surrounded by family.
He was born August 20, 1947, in Erie, son of the late Howard and Anna Mae (Fundis) Neumaier.
Bill graduated from Strong Vincent High School and went on to attend Penn State University. He was the owner of Tracydale Dairy Queen, which was in the family for over 60 years and brought cherished memories to many patrons and employees. Bill was an avid Penn State fan, and he enjoyed golfing, his weekly night out with his buddies, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and following all their activities.
Bill was a dedicated husband to his wife of 56 years, Susan; dedicated father to two daughters, Sydne Hanko (Steve) and Kristen Neumaier (Bill DeMarcus); a son, Jamie Neumaier (Amber); five grandchildren, Jake, Josh, & Lilly Hanko and Will & Ava Neumaier; three brothers, Robert (Sandi deceased), John (Vickie), and Tom (Sandee) Neumaier; two sisters, Judy Eoff (Tony) and Mary Liotta. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on the family at Burton Quinn Scott Funeral Home, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St, Erie on Friday, November 10 from 2 until the time of service at 4:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be to Penn State Behrend's Arboretum in his memory. Checks can be made payable to Penn State University and mailed to: Penn State Behrend, Attention Carol Nicotra, 4215 Station Rd., Erie, PA 16563.
