William Robert Pearce (Bill/Bobby) October 20, 1936 - February 15, 2024, went home to be with his Lord and Savior and entered into his eternal home, at the age of 87. He was born in Youngsville, North Carolina, a son of the Harvey V. and Virginia S. Pearce.
Bill (Bobby) spent his childhood in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where he met, fell in love and later married the late Marjorie Short on March 16,1957. After getting married they raised two children: Lena York and Danny Pearce Sr. They lived in numerous places in North Carolina and Virginia before settling down in Kents Store, Virginia in 1999.This is where they have lived out their lives caring for each other. Bill (Bobby) was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, father Harvey, his mother Virginia, and his brothers Harvey Jr., and Michael Pearce.
Bill (Bobby) will forever be held in the hearts of his daughter Lena York and husband Michael, son Danny Pearce Sr. and wife Veronica, grandchildren Danny Pearce Jr. and wife Brenda Pearce, Jessie (York) Llewellyn, McKenzie (Pearce) Rosado and husband Demetri, Ashley (York)Snowdon, his brother Willard Pearce and his sister Ann New (husband MC) plus numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy will continue through his great-grandchildren Braiden, Bradley, Amy, Lucas, Macie, Colton, Amory, Bekah, Savannah, Willow, Austin, Bennett and Lily.
Bill (Bobby) was a people person who was always understanding and put others first. He loved caring well for others and was a defender of those he loved. He was a devout man who enjoyed spending time with his church community. He had the best sense of humor, even up to the very end. Bill (Bobby) had an amazing work ethic, was hard working and diligent. He worked over 20 years with Boddie-Noell Enterprise as Regional Director of Operations, when he retired from there, he started his own business Mallard Maintenance that he operated until his passing.
He was a caring, loving, and supportive husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved tremendously and will be missed dearly until we see him again.

"So also, you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you."
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made in his memory to Beulah Baptist Church 1633 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 23084
The celebration of life service will be held 11:00am, Saturday February 17, 2024, at Beulah Baptist Church, 1633 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 23084, with a visitation an hour prior from 10:00-11:00am. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jason Taylor.
Food and fellowship will follow service.
