It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of William John Pendrick announces his passing on November 9, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 10, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, William was the beloved son of the late William Pendrick and Ruby Mae (Dew) Pendrick.
William was a proud American who served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. His years in service instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline, strength, and commitment to those he loved. That same steadfast devotion guided him throughout his life—as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
For 65 wonderful years, William shared his life with his devoted wife, Geraldine (Merta) Pendrick. Together they built a loving home and a beautiful legacy grounded in faith, hard work, and family.
He was the proud father of Jeffrey (Michele) Pendrick, Mitch (Kim) Pendrick, and Charmaine (Brian P.) Clancy; the cherished grandfather of Matt Pendrick, Samantha Pendrick, Hannah Pendrick, Griffin Pendrick, and Sean Clancy; and the dear brother-in-law of Walter Merta.
William will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, and the pride he took in seeing his children and grandchildren grow and succeed. He was a man of integrity and steady faith—someone who believed in doing things the right way and taking care of those around him.
William will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown, Michigan.
The Pendrick family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this time of loss.
Though his earthly journey has ended, William’s legacy of honor, love, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
