William Perry Obituary

William "Jim" James Perry II, 84, of Marion, passed away at 8:32 am on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on Thursday, January 23, 1941, to William and Ellen (Keating) Perry. On December 27, 1985, he married Susan (Frey -Winegardner), who survives.

Jim graduated from Eastern High School and also attended the Delco Trade School where he then worked in Tool & Die for 30 years and Chrysler for 10 years until he retired in 2002. He was also a member of the Kokomo Moose Lodge and Eagles. He really enjoyed woodworking – he handcrafted church birdhouses with stained glass. He spent time bowling, fishing at Kentucky Lake, and spending time with the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. He also really loved traveling to Savannah, Georgia – Tybee Island,

Jim is survived by his wife, Susan (Winegardner -Perry) of Marion; children, Jeffrey "J" J. Perry of Mishawaka, Jamie L. Winegardner of Marion, Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Winegardner of Marion, Chris W. Winegardner of Beattyville, KY, Bruce (Melody) Winegardner of Milford, ; brother, Michael R. (Patty) Perry of Kokomo; sister, Patricia Perry of MI; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael (Elise), Keith, Carrie (Matt), Corey; and great-grandsons, Kaden, Braidan, Jase, and Elliott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. "Bill" and Ellen J. Perry.

At Jim's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
