William Clinton "Wil" Peterson

William "Wil" Clinton Peterson, 82, of Milton, Florida, went home to be with his Savior in the early morning hours of August 25, 2025. Born in Rochester, New York, on October 9, 1942, Wil was the beloved son of Clinton Peterson and Audrey Stevenson.
Wil proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Adams. They were married for 59 devoted years, building a life centered on faith, family, and service.
A lifelong learner and spiritual leader, Wil earned his master's degree from Tabernacle Baptist Bible Institute and faithfully pastored for 35 years across various ministries. His heart for service extended beyond the pulpit-he also drove a school bus for over 25 years, retiring from BOCES in Rochester, NY.
After relocating to Florida, Wil became a regular attender at Scenic Bay Baptist Church in Pensacola, where he continued to live out his faith in community.
Wil is survived by his cherished wife, Mary Ann; two brothers; one sister; eleven children; thirty-eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, faith, and dedication lives on in each of them.
A visitation will be held at Scenic Bay Baptist Church on Thursday, September 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the church on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., followed by burial at Barrancas National Cemetery.
