William Timothy “Tim” Petty, 67, of Folkston, GA passed away at his home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born in Folkston, GA on December 6, 1955 to the late William Petty and Lou Mae Todd Strickland.
He is survived by his loving wife; Karen Petty, children; William J. Petty (Buddy), and Melissa (Ray) Davis; step-children; Tisha Roberson, David Thrift, and Terry James Thrift; siblings; Ronald and Gayle (Ezzell) Petty, Ken and Fonda (Henderson) Petty, Robert and Candy (Black) Petty, and Cheryl Heath, grandchildren; Tyler and Kaila (Ballinger) Petty, Jullian Petty, Wyatt Petty, Hunter Pickel, Makayla (Doug) Lynn, Zachary Crews, Caden Thrift, Camden Thrift, Temperance Moore, Jensen Thrift, and Colt Thrift, great-grandchildren; Christopher Lynn, Kane Petty, and anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Petty, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rusty Petty, Jeffery Todd, Tony Todd, Terry James Thrift, James Long and Ray Davis.
