William Pitman Obituary
Born July 2, 1945, in Bedford, he was the son of Luther and Georgina (Wright) Pitman. He married Andrea Alice Howard on December 24, 1994 and she survives.
Bill was a graduate of Shawswick High School. He was a die maker for General Motors and a member of the UAW Local 440. He enjoyed woodworking, working around the house, and took care of raising cattle.
Surviving are his wife, Andrea Alice Pitman of Orleans; children, William Michael "Mike" (Becky) Pitman, Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas; Jennifer (Brett) Deckard of Bedford; and Steven; grandchildren, William Trey, Peyton, Kolby, Joey, and Jamey; great-grandchildren, Klaussen and Krue; siblings, Lynette "Susie" (Joe) Sipes of Bedford and Carol Waskom of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with William Michael "Mike" Pitman, Jr. officiating. Entombment will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
