Patrick Ramey, 70, passed away on January 16, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 27, 1955, in Macon County, he was the son of the late Venice Alexander and Beulah Hazel Lowe Ramey.
Patrick lived a full and hands on life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, racing, carpentry, and could often be found tinkering with anything that had an engine. He was a proud member of First Alliance Church and carried his faith quietly but sincerely throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patsy Ramey Wilson; and one brother, Samuel Lee Ramey.
Patrick is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Evelyn Shuler Ramey; his children, Scarlett Ramey and William Charles Ramey; three sisters, Bessie Ramey Hopkins, Barbara Ramey Neal, and Dorothy Ramey Diddle; two brothers, Paul Ramey and David Ramey; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Macon Funeral Home, with Reverends Albert Grey and Brian Holland officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Wilson, James Hopkins, Michael Ramey, Mathew Ramey, Alex Melton, and David Melton.
