William Reker Obituary

William "Vince" Reker, 83, entered eternal life on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on March 14, 1940 to the late John W. Reker and Elizabeth R. Woolcutt. Vince honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Vince worked as a truck driver and owned a small business. Vince was a member of the Kingdom Life Church in Sellersburg and the Marine Corps League. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jean C. Reker and by his daughter, Rose Ann Campisano.
Survivors include his children Robin R. Shuff (Mark) and Cheryl A. Butler; four grandchildren Roseanne Butler, TJ Brandreth, Carley Shuff, and Kendall Shuff; two great-grandchildren Leyem Green and Arden Slone.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to: Southeast Marines Indiana Detachment 1394 (4530 Paoli Pike, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119).
