YOUNGSTOWN - William F. Revak, 51, known to most as Billy or Bill, passed away at home with family by his side Friday, August 1, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Billy was born to Saundra Revak (White) and Joseph Revak on August 9, 1973, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. A lifelong resident of Youngstown, Billy was a 1991 graduate of Chaney High School and a 1993 graduate of Ohio Diesel Technical Institution in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout his 20 plus years as a diesel technician he became certified in various fields of his vocation. Due to his illness, he concluded his career with several years at the Youngstown Wastewater Department as a Maintenance Technician.
As a homeowner, Billy was a busy body and loved tinkering about when time permitted. He took pride in everything he did and always did it to the best of his ability. Bill remodeled several rooms in his home, manicured his lawn to perfection, loved to grill out and have fires around the fire pit.
Fishing and hunting were two hobbies he enjoyed when he had time. Other past times he savored throughout his life were camping, BMX racing, playing youth baseball, football in the side yard and spending time with family. He loved listening to music, especially his favorite band Motley Crue; as well as other 70s classic rock and 80s hair bands.
Family vacations planned by Lynn, his late wife of 22 years, were a time that he, Lynn and Nicholas could enjoy together. Billy and Lynn would host Christmas Day dinner with both sides of their families gathering to exchange gifts and share in the holiday festivities. Our brother / son was a very hardworking man. He was very meticulous in every aspect of life. He always said, “If you're going to do it, do it right”. While Billy was a quiet individual, when he spoke, he meant exactly what he said.
Bill is survived by his mother and father, Sandy and Joe Revak, older sister Victoria Revak, and younger brother Aaron Revak. He leaves behind his devoted dog Hercules; several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and many amazing lifelong friends.
He was predeceased in death by his wife, Lynn M. Revak and son, Nicholas M. Revak.
While at home, Bill received care from Hospice of the Valley – Hospice House. He was very impressed and grateful for their services.
