In loving memory of William Edward Rimler, known affectionately to family and friends as Bill and Pop Pop, a resilient and spirited soul who has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Born on February 21, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, Bill's life was a testament to his love for family, his unwavering Catholic faith, and his fervor for Philadelphia sports teams. His steadfast loyalty, infectious laughter, and indomitable spirit will forever echo in our hearts and minds.
Bill was a proud alumnus of the Roman Catholic Class of 1948 and a loyal member of the American Legion Post 754. He served honorably as a Staff SGT in the US Army during the Korean War, a testament to his resilience and bravery. Following his service, he built a successful career as a Production Manager at Elite Mailing, where his humor, tenacity, and leadership were deeply valued. Bill's commitment to his work was rivaled only by his devotion to his favorite sports teams. He was a fervent fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers, and his lively spirit made every game a memorable event.
He was a beloved father to Stephen (Kelly) and Brian Rimler (Mandy), a doting grandfather to William "Danny" (Lauren), Thomas (Samantha), Amanda (Carlos), Kevin (Ximena), Kyle (Kelly), Brandon (Tatiana), Priscilla, Landon Carlile, Amaya Carlile, Ryan Rimler, great grandfather to Viviene, Emmett, Josephine, Maeve, Roman, Saint, Shiloh and a devoted husband to the late Shirley Rimler. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Catherine Rimler, and his son William Rimler. Bill's love for his family was a shining beacon that guided his journey through life. His passion, humor, and resilience have left an indelible legacy that will continue to inspire and guide his family in the years to come.
