William W. Sadler

I had the pleasure of working with Bill for several years at Heritage, where we had fun with a friendly IU-Purdue rivalry. My condolences to the Sadler family.

Bill was one of a kind. He epitomized excellence in teaching, and was missed after he left. We send our prayers to his family.

Mr. Sadler was one of those rare teachers who could engage the subject masterfully, make learning a joy, and somehow find a way to be a friend to a mixed-up jr. high student! Thanks Mr. Sadler!

I had the good fortune of having Mr. Sadler as a teacher for two years at Heritage. In addition to challenging me as a student, he entertained me with his wit. God speed, Mr. Sadler and Boiler Up!

I had the good fortune of working with Bill for 22 years at Heritage High School. Bill was a great teacher and great friend in addition to being a Purdue Boilermaker.

Mr. Sadler was one of the best mentors anyone could have. I wished I had been more receptive to his ideals. He was the best teacher and so understanding. He may be gone but he lives on in so many of us.

He was such an asset to the Science Dept. Countless students have gone into science based careers due to his efforts. You should be so proud of your father/grandfather. Diana Sullivan

To his family and friends, I'm very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. During my six years at Heritage Jr/Sr High School, his classes are some of my most memorable. He took groups of us down to Purdue many times for academic events and football games, and he was a big influence in my decision to attend school there. Hail Purdue, and may you rest in peace, Bill.

"Wild Bill", you were one of my favorite high school teachers, and I am sorry to hear of your passing. I know you will be missed by your family, and I extend my sympathy to them.
