William Roy "Bill" Sappington Jr.

Bill was a favorite patient of mine for a number of years. A beautiful smile, a quick wit and a marvelous perspective on life in general. I believe he shared that he had attended the very first Mizzou football game in our current stadium. More memorable would be his smile.

Bill was a cousin-in-law thru my mother. He had an amiable manner, an inquiring way and was easy to be around. His steady-as-she-goes character was seen in his relationship with friends and family, community service, his golf game and long useful life. It was a pleasure being around him.
