It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, William "Bill" Schauer, age 75, Lincoln, ND, on January 8, 2026. Those who have had the pleasure of knowing him knew him as a man of few words, yet he always somehow got his point across.
A memorial service will start at 1:30 PM, on Thursday, February 5, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, with a visitation starting one hour prior to the service.
Bill was born in Wishek, ND, on October 21, 1950, to Ted W. and Lucille Schauer. He was one of seven children. He grew up in rural North Dakota and graduated from Steele-Dawson High School. Bill married Connie Enzminger on March 5, 1971. From this marriage, they raised two daughters, Lori and Billie.
Bill followed his passion for elevator operations, where he served as a general manager. He was never afraid of hard work. He had a keen sense of humor, and he enjoyed family time at the lake cabin. He was an amazing father and even a better grandfather. Lori and Billie are sure that he mostly tolerated them to get what was his greatest blessing, his five grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie; daughter, Lori (Scott) Moch, and their daughters, Kia (Austin) Patten and Kennedy (Josh) Moch, and daughter Billie (Jay) Rud and their sons Jackson Ethan, and Noah; brothers, sisters, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; mother and father-in-law, Melvin and Phyllis Enzminger; and brother-in-law, Larry Enzminger.
We will all miss Bill deeply, but we know he is now at peace. Rest easy, Bill, until we see you again.
