William Schmidt Obituary

William Mark Schmidt, age 72, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.

Visitation on Thursday, Oct. 9th, 4-8 PM at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, MN. Funeral services on Friday, Oct. 10th, 11 AM at Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 E Cty Rd 42, Burnsville, MN with interment at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, MN.

Bill was born on April 2, 1953, to Bill and Harriet (McCabe) Schmidt. He graduated from Le Center High School and had a successful career at Continental Machines and Ritchie Engineering. He married Marlene Regenscheid of St. Peter and raised four children in Burnsville. Bill was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene Schmidt; their children Brad (Kristin) Schmidt and Kim (Adam) Slota; and grandchildren Keira and Jenna Schmidt, and Mila and Margot Slota.

Preceded in death by his children Alyssa and Matt Schmidt; parents Bill and Harriet Schmidt.
