William Schulz Obituary
William "Bill" Schulz, 86, of Fergus Falls passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
Bill was born on November 16, 1937, in Backus, MN to Frederick and Camilla (McAllister) Schulz.
He started grade school in Fargo, ND at St. Mary's Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Anthony's Grade School in 1951, completing 8 years of elementary school. After graduating from Shanley High School, Fargo, in 1955 he entered the US Navy, serving 9 years and being Honorably discharged in 1964.
Bill was an early adaptor of computers in the workplace and eventually became an independent recruiter of computer savvy people for companies in need of computer personnel.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 30, VFW Post 612 and Republican Party of Otter Tail County. He attended church at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and St. James Catholic Church in the township of Maine.
Bill enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and San Francisco sports, being involved in politics and campaigning, reading and listening to classical music and writing an occasional "Letter to the Editor".
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Valerie Zaveruka; and sister-in-law, Mary Jean Schulz.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy Schulz of Eden Prairie and Stephanie Schulz of Eau Claire, WI; brother, Paul Schulz of Fargo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls.
Burial: St. James Catholic Cemetery, rural Underwood, MN following the Mass of Christian Burial
