William Ray Slusher Sr., age 66 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born September 2, 1959 in Raleigh, South Carolina the son of the late Matt and Charlotte Slusher.
William worked in security and as a mechanic for many years and owned and operated William & Sons Lawn Care Company. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing the Ohio river. He was a friend to many and was always willing to help others in need. He will be remembered as having a shepherding spirit, to guide those around him, but never failed to hold others accountable.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary Slusher; his son, Matt Andrew Slusher and numerous siblings.
William is survived by significant other, Dee Horner; the mother of his children, Mary Slusher; his children, Tanya Slusher Conley, Sarah Hasting, William Ray Slusher, Jr. and Austin Jeremiah Slusher; an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family through the funeral home.
