William Sherman Sprinkle Jr.

Dateline: Belmont William "Bill" Sherman Sprinkle, Jr., 81, of Belmont, died July 22, 2009 at home. He was a native of Cabarrus County, son of the late William Sherman, Sr. and Effie Mae Chase Sprinkle and husband of the late Gertrude Emma Taylor Sprinkle and Joyce Sprinkle. Mr. Sprinkle was a retired truck driver with Overnight Transportation. After retirement he worked for Dixon Ford in Belmont. He served in the US Army from 1951 – 1953. He was a member of Harvest Time Church of God in Mt. Holly. Survivors include his daughters: Melinda Beacham and husband Tim of Lucia, Rebecca Lynn Bridinger and husband Rev. Dale of Newton, brothers: Rev. David "Gene" Sprinkle and wife Grace of Kannapolis, Max Edwards Sprinkle and wife Lillian of Clayton, NJ, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, step-son: Bennett Taylor and wife Elaine of Mt. Holly, step-daughter: Betty Stowe and husband Harold of Gastonia. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Harvest Time Church of God, Mt. Holly, with Pastor Tim McCarn and Pastor Rick Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, prior to the service at the church.
