SPC William Eugene Steinhauer passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Fort Wainwright Army Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was born Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at Fort Campbell Kentucky to Andrew Steinhauer and Holly Lewallen.
Bill was raised in Missoula by Andrew and Heather Steinhauer and graduated the head of his class at the Trapper Creek Job Corps in Darby, but always considered Anaconda his home.
Bill was serving his country as a combat engineer in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, had recently celebrated his 20th birthday and married Vanessa Robinson on October 7, 2022. She is expecting his first child. They survive. Also surviving are his parents, Holly Lewallen of Anaconda, Andrew and Heather Steinhauer of Missoula; his siblings: Matthew, Alexander, Niklaus, Aaron, Megan and Tony; as well as his grandmother, Kathy Steinhauer of Anaconda; and two aunts: Audra Steinhauer and Vicky Steinhauer.
SPC Steinhauer will be transported to Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home in Butte where funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, November 18, 2022 at 11 o'clock . Cremation will follow services. Express condolences at www.wayrynen-richards.com.

Wlliam, I've never had a chance to meet you personally. Yet we will know you as the baby grows. I will get to meet you and your family. Now the Families have united to Honor you and your Legacy. Your Legacy will continue to move forward. There will time for all of the families to truly meet, but now is time to Remember you. As a Retired Airman, Slow Hand Salute to a Fellow Military Member. Bill was a pleasure to have on center at Trapper Creek. Always such a bright smile and a wonderful personality. Always willing to chip in and help out wherever needed. My sincere condolences to his wife, child, and family! Lifting you all up in prayer and asking for God's comforting hand and Grace to be upon you all in this difficult time......

My condolences go out to Bill's newly wedded wife and soon-to-be newborn, the parents, family, and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Trapper Creek Job Corps. He was a great student and it was an honor to work with him in education. He will be dearly missed!
