William “Bill” Ewart Stephenson, Jr. beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 91. He was born on August 10, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas. Bill is survived by his three daughters, Karen Stephenson,Janice(Doug) Hill, and Linda(Paul) Somers, his grandchildren,Chloe Loop, Riley Loop, Leslie(Ben)Wilkins, Natalie(Larsen)Kjellman, Sean Hill, and Eero Somers, and 5 great grandchildren who benefited from his love through the years. He was the son of William Stephenson, Sr. and Dorothy Goodnow Stephenson and was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Bruce Stephenson. He leaves behind his brother, Keith(Jan) Stephenson, and his his sister, Vonna(Lee) Vaughn. Throughout his lifetime, Bill embraced an array of interests that shaped his persona. He was not only a choir director and trumpet player with the music ministry of Youth for Christ, but he also had a passion for aviation as a small aircraft pilot. His joy of music extended beyond the church, as he was a jazz aficionado, and had a career as a radio announcer. His contributions to the arts and his love for music left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Bill Stephenson will take place at the Old Town Triangle Association on March 15th 2025 at 6-8 pm CST 1763 N. North Park Ave. Chicago, IL
