William "Bill" Lloyd Stephenson

FORT WORTH -- Bill Stephenson, 74, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, October 23, in Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. A celebration of Bill's life will follow at Mira Vista Country Club, 6600 Mira Vista Blvd., Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity or the TCU General Scholarship Fund, 2800 University Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Bill was born March 23, 1935, in Fort Worth. He attended Polytechnic High School and graduated from Texas Christian University in 1959 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He was self-employed, Warranty Service Co., for over 50 years. Bill enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to have visited all 50 states. He was an avid golfer and spent many happy hours with all his golfing buddies. He was a loving husband, father, papa and friend to all who knew him. He touched many lives with his caring ways, a smile and a sense of humor. Survivors: His loving wife of 48 years, Ann Stephenson; daughter and husband, Lisa and David Carter; son, Chris Stephenson; son and wife, Kyle and Jennifer Stephenson; grandson and wife, Wes and Serena Anderson; grandson, Landon Stephenson; sister and husband, Carolyn and Robert Mayse; sister and husband, Sharon and Jim Allen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of friends; and his beloved dog, Lucy.
