William Bruce "Bill" Sterman

A celebration of life for William "Bill" Bruce Sterman, 74, of Dime Box, Texas will be held at a later date.
Bill was born on January 13, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Bruce and Marilyn (Thomas) Sterman. He was the oldest of four kids. After graduating high school, Bill served in the Navy where he worked in a construction unit. After being honorably discharged he spent some time in college before moving into the construction industry full time. He worked for many years in the industry both working at and owning his own company. Bill owned Texas Log Homes for twelve to fourteen years before selling the company to retire. After retirement Bill was still very active keeping a large garden and keeping up with projects around the property. He married his wife Diana Sterman on September 29, 2022. Bill was a member of the men's choir at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burton. He enjoyed singing not only in church but also at home. Over the years Bill has become a well-traveled man going to many different places both in the United Stated and abroad. In his younger days he enjoyed riding motorcycles and went on several fishing trips. Recently he brewed his own batch of mustang grape wine showing his enthusiasm for working with his hands and constantly learning something new.
Bill passed away the morning of Monday, May 27, 2024 at his home in Dime Box with his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Marilyn Sterman.
Bill is survived by is wife, Diana Sterman of Dime Box; his two sons, Ryan and wife Audry Sterman of Dime Box, and Shawn Sterman of Montgomery; three siblings, Connie of Ohio, Sandy of New York, and Greg of New York; four grandchildren Charlie Sterman of Dime Box, Julius Sterman of Austin, Sage Sterman of Dime Box, and Cameron Sterman of Katy.
