William "Garrison" Strickland Jr.

William "Garrison" Strickland, Jr. age 44, was born in Nashville, TN February 18, 1979 and went to be with his Creator February 6, 2024 due to a sudden heart attack. Garrison was a kind, funny, smart, caring, fun-loving person who loved people. He never met a stranger! He was a Tech genius and worked in the technology space for the last 20 years. Traveling for work and pleasure was one of his favorite things, but most of all he loved being with his wife and children. His happy place was being at the beach with his family. Being an avid reader, his New Year's resolution was to read the Bible from start to finish. His love and faith for God governed the way he wanted to live his life. He will be extremely missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Mary Sheppard, and Lane Strickland; step-father, Arthur Tek; father-in-law, J.B. Loring. Garrison is survived by his wife, Christy Strickland; children, Madalyn and Mackenzie Strickland; step-children, Grayson and Lily Perez; mother, Gina Tek; father, Gary Strickland (Joanne); grandmother, Jean Strickland; siblings, Diana Peters (John), Katherine Tek, Kelly Nguyen (Long), Mandy Floyd (Marcus), Mary Sykes (Lester), and Sarah Strickland; mother-in-law, Barbara Loring, and so many cousins that loved their Uncle Garrison.
Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Hadley Chapel Sunday, February 11th, from 2-4pm. A Celebration of Garrison's Life will be conducted at Old Hickory Church of the Nazarene Monday, February 12th at 7pm with visitation one hour prior.
