I had the good fortune to know Bill for a handful of years on Wednesday nights when he drove his dedicated route for Jasper and found himself in Coralville, IA. Quick with a joke or a story, he didn't know a stranger when he stayed here his one day a week. Plenty of folks showed up quite specifically just to shoot the breeze with Bill, and we all felt his absence when he retired.

My sympathies to the family, he talked about you all so much, and so highly, I feel like I know you myself, even though the only one I was lucky enough to meet was Cathy. I will think of Bill every time I put on one of the Jasper hats he gave out along his routes.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. This was such a a shock. Bill was a great friend to my brother, and he was such a good person. Sending thoughts and prayers to you.
