William "Buddy" Supple, 74, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Born on January 4, 1951, in Hialeah, FL, Buddy was the beloved son of Madeline "GG" and Raymond "Pop-Pop" Supple. He graduated from Hialeah High School in 1970, where he was a proud offensive lineman on the football team, and continued his passion for the game by playing for the University of Tampa Spartans that same year.
Buddy was so much more than his accomplishments-he was an amazing son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. Known for his kindness, humor, and larger-than-life personality, Buddy brought joy wherever he went.
He loved playing pickleball, fishing with the kids in his neighborhood, and greeting every dog he met with a treat from his pocket during his daily walks. He was also an avid sports fan-never far from a screen (or three) as he passionately cheered for his favorite teams: the Miami Dolphins, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Above all, Buddy was the best father and grandfather on the planet. He never missed a game, band concert, or cheerleading competition-always the first to show up and the loudest to cheer. Whether playing catch, coaching, fishing, or just spending time with the kids, Buddy made sure every child around him felt special and loved.
He is survived by his two sons, Bill R. Supple (Merle) and Donald J. Supple; his adored grandchildren, Connor and Maddie; his brothers, Pat Supple and Raymond J. Supple (Mary) of Georgia, nieces Chrissy Bedell (Brooke) and Lisa Supple of Texas; and nephew Joey Supple (Amanda) of Georgia.
Buddy was preceded in death by his loving sister, Maureen Supple.
Buddy's warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in all the lives he touched.
We will have a burial service and Celebration of Life for out of state friends and family in Connecticut in July. More information will be shared soon.

Bill was one of the first people I met when I moved to Sunnybrook after losing my husband. He was my neighbor, my friend and truly an amazing person. Always looking out for his neighbors, willing to lend a hand and such a positive person. He will truly be missed.
