William J. Swincicki, age 57, passed away on September 21, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on December 3, 1967, in Bay City, Michigan.
William was the beloved husband of the late Michelle “Shelly” Terwilliger, and a devoted father to Alyssa Swincicki, Ethan Swincicki, and Jacob Swincicki. He was a proud grandfather to Daemon (Leo) Kent, Rocco Kent, and Sean Lewis. He was the cherished son of Gerald Swincicki and the late Lee Ann Kowalski, and loving brother to Jennifer Swincicki and Lynda (Paul) Montoya. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Ashlynn (Joe) Uzl, Richard Montoya, and Paul Montoya.
A decorated Army Veteran, William honorably served his country as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, where he earned a Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice. His strength, dedication, and loyalty were hallmarks of his character, both in service and in life.
Outside of his military career, William found great joy in life’s everyday moments. He was happiest when outdoors, whether casting a line on a quiet lake or tending to his garden with care and patience. He had a knack for creating things with his hands, whether it was through woodworking projects or crafting meals in the kitchen that his family and friends loved to share. William was also a man who enjoyed the camaraderie of a good game of bowling and the thrill of discovering new places while on the road. He and Shelly shared many memorable trips together, finding adventure and comfort in each other’s company wherever the road led them.
William will be remembered for his love of family, his courage, and his generous spirit. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
