William G. "Bill" Taylor Jr.

William "Bill" G. Taylor, Jr., 88, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Bill was a graduate of Trenton High School, and a lifelong area resident. For many years, he enjoyed the winters in Naples, Florida. Bill was employed with ACME Hamilton Rubber Co. for many years and later went on to serve as a Supervisor at the Hamilton Township Sewer Department where he oversaw Water Pollution and Control. He retired 28 years ago.
Bill was an avid golfer and in later years enjoyed golfing in Florida, particularly playing golf at the Royalwood Country Club. He loved country western and ballroom dancing with his beloved wife Maria. He enjoyed the simple things, such as listening to country music. Above all else, Bill loved his family, and especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his father, William G. Taylor, Sr.; his mother, Emma (Knowles) Murl; his beloved wife of 64 years, Maria Stella (Sciarrotta) Taylor; and his sister, Joan James; he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Joan M. Taylor of Hamilton, and Maria "Stella" and John Poccia of Monmouth Beach, NJ; his son and daughter-in-law, William G., III and Amy Taylor of New Egypt; his brother, Ronald Taylor; his seven grandchildren, Bill Quinn, Joan Quinn Bush and her husband Alan, Paul Mershon and his wife Tina, Melissa O'Keefe and her husband Dan, John Poccia, IV, Jesse L. Taylor, and Jillian M. Taylor; his great-grandchildren, Isabella Bush, Finley and Max O'Keefe, and Paul Mershon, Jr.; his special companion, Erma Dinardo of Hamilton; and many loving family members and dear friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12 Noon until 2:00 pm at the Saul Colonial Home, 375 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:00pm.
Cremation services were held privately.
