William Austin Tharp Jr., 75 of Longs South Carolina, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.
William was born December 21, 1949, in Conway, South Carolina to the late William Austin Tharp Sr. and Annie (Lewis) Tharp.
Left behind to cherish William's memory is his wife of 52 years Linda (Hooper) Tharp, daughter Kimberly Paxton, and son Brian Caudill and his wife Letty, granddaughters Ashley and Harley Caudill, Tori Paxton and her husband Clint, Samantha Hawkins and her husband Steven, and Jordan Pressley and her husband Travis, a great grandson CJ Johnson, his sister Jennifer Lewis and her husband Aaron, brother Dean Tharp, and last but definitely not least his beloved fur baby Miley.
Along with his parents William was predeceased by a son Brian Tharp, and two brothers Roger and James Tharp.
William fought the good fight for 5 years, finally succumbing to cancer after his long battle. William loved fishing, hunting, camping at the lake, and watching Nascar.
He was known for his sense of humor and quick wit, he loved his friends and was always willing to help those who needed a helping hand. He in turn was loved by all those who were blessed to call him a friend, but his greatest accomplishment, pride and joy was definitely his family who will miss him dearly.
