William "Bill" C. Thompson 73, of Panama City, FL passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He was born on May 18, 1951, to Mary C. Thompson (Hunt) and William Thompson in Detroit, MI. Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Strong & Jones Funeral Chapel 629 West Brevard Street Tallahassee, FL.
"Bill" enjoyed studying many aspects of the criminal justice system. He served for many years in Law Enforcement in Boston MA and was a motorcycle officer with the Dade County Police Department where he retired as a detective after 26 years of dedicated service.
"Bill" made Bay County his home and was a chartered member and president of the Buffalo Soldiers in both Miami Chapter and Panama City Chapter.
"Bill" leaves a large family of loving members: Wife, Rachelle Thompson, Panama City, FL,; His parents: Father, William (Marie) Thompson, Melbourne, FL; Mother, Mary C. Hunt, Panama City, FL,: Children: William C. Thompson, Jr., Atlanta GA, Karim Thompson, District Heights, MD: Brothers: Karim Thompson and Darrell (LaRhonda) Thompson both of Boston, MA; One Uncle, Aldean Thompson, Homestead, FL; Step-son, Aramis Allen, Panama City, FL.
Five Grandchildren, Kianna, Jordan, Payton Thompson(s) all of Atlanta, GA; Sakari, Bryden and a great grandson, Sebastain Thompson(s), all of District Heights, MD.; Five Aunts: Nellie Nicholson, Winter Haven, FL, Gloria Jean Thompson, Miramar, FL, Rose Hayes, Fort Myers, FL Mary Thompson and Jean Barnes, both of Tallahassee, FL.
