Dear Debby, Keith and BC,
I just fond this memorial and wanted to sign the guest book for you. I lived in the same building with your Mom, Donna and Julie. I was very close to them. BC and my son Ed played together when you visited your Mom or he stayed over night. God rest her soul. I still think about her often and still miss her so very much. She was my second Mother. I was living in MD at the time Bill died. I am now in NC. Donna was the one who told me. I was in shock and of course very saddened. Debby, You and your sons are always in my prayers. God Bless you always. God give rest to your husbands soul and may His angels always watch over you , Keith and BC.

Although I've only met Bill a few times, my memory of him as a proud father is an inspiration.

I spoke to Billy everyday when I was a Junior at Dreyfus. He made me laugh. He was such a cheerful man. But what I'll remember the most about Billy was his love for his wife and the pride he had of his son. He encourged me a lot about family. I loved talking to him about mine.

I'm terribly sorry for the loss. I remember the many years of great support and learning. The man was a great baseball coach over at Nash field.

On September 11, 2002 I sang in the St. Louis performance of Mozart's Requiem, called the Rolling Requiem. For 24 hours, this piece of music was being performed somewhere in the world. We were each given a name tag to wear, and I sang in memory of William R. Tieste. The performance was a wonderful experience for me - I love to sing this work - and a special privilege to sing in his memory. I have lived in St. Louis for about 30 years, but I grew up in Hackensack, NJ, so I can picture where you live, and where he worked. If you would like me to send you the program and name tag, please e-mail me, and I'd be happy to do so. Know that your family is in my prayers.

To Mrs. Tieste, BC, and Keith:

I express to you my sincerest and deepest condolences for the loss of a great husband and loving father. Mr. Tieste was always very generous with his kindness towards me, and above all else, his sense of humor was second to none.

Though life unfortunately has extended the boundaries of time between the last time I saw and spent time with all of you, I will never forget those wonderful days spent having fun with Keith, and all of you, in Chatham.

I only wish that you find peace and tranquility knowing that you were truly blessed to have Mr. Tieste in your life, as I was to know him.

Again, I express to you my sadness, grief, and prayers for all of you.

Very truly yours,

Marc Stephen Marlow

Hello, I am a senior at St. Pius X High School and as a rememberance of 9/11 we have chosen to hand out wrist bands with the names of the deceased on them. one name on each band and we have asked all of our students, faculty, and parents to wear one of the bands. My mom has chosen to wear William's name and she prays for him and yall everyday. We are wearing the bands for two weeks. our prayers are with your fanily and we will never forget.

Mrs Tieste, B.C., and Keith,

It has been only a little over 8 months and I think of Mr Tieste and your loss everyday. He was my friend and coach for so many years. I smile when I think about him. I only hope I can have the same affect on someones life. Stay strong.

We are so sorry for your loss of William. I am sure he was standing beside you for Thanksgiving and he will be standing beside you forever to help you when you need it. Our hearts are with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
